Inspiration: The apartment

The bf and I are looking for a new apartment, but we have promised ourselves to really start looking when we’re back from vacationing. I must say, I find it terribly hard to not look at houses and apartment, certainly when you find pics like these. Of course, I know there’s no way in hell we’ll be able to afford such a nice place or even furnish it  so beautifully but hey, a girl can dream right?

And there’s always DIY-design, there must be a way to at least DIY one of the things from these pictures…

Inspiration: Embroidery + drawings

I recently discovered this great artist who combines embroidery with pencil drawings and watercolour. I must admit, I have a giant soft spot for mixed media art, I love it when two, at first sight totally different thing, become one. And this one, i must say, takes the cake! Seeing how embroidery (and other old fashioned handywork like knitting) is on a come back, I just love to see how people use their imagination to take these crafts and take them out of context.

Inspiration: Washi tape

I guess everyone on Pinterest shares this love with me; Washi tape. Colorful masking tape which you can use for basicly anything and everything. I’m dying to use Washi tape in my house, and there’s always room for more inspiration in my head. So I went out (well, no, I stayed put behind the computer) and found myself some Washi inspiration.

Now I’m even more dying to wrap everything in Washi tape!

Inspiration: Dream house in a former oil factory

SO I found this incredible dream house. It’s actually a former oil factory and it’s located it the ever so fairytale-like Frence Provence. I think there’s nothing in this entire house I don’t absolutely love with all my heart, and I’m not afraid to admit I’m super jealous. I mean, living in such an awesome, old building, which is decorated in this beautiful way AND live in the Provence…?

Who wouldn’t be jealous, right? Oh and that pool! Wow.
